2002 installation of exterior windows and doors with applied trim, all pre-finished included:
- 15 double hung 6/6 divided light windows
- 4 exterior French doors
- Custom 12’ shed dormer window assembly with 6’ fixed center window (20 divided lights) and L and R side double hung 6/6 operational windows
- 4 double hung 4/1 divided light windows
We have had Norwood windows and doors in our vacation home in NB for over 20 years.
They were installed when we did a full renovation of our 19th Century heritage home in 2002 and have held up incredibly well. It is worth noting that the house is across from a harbour and has a harsh southwest exposure. The factory finish on the windows and the trim has never been painted and is still solid and easy to clean. The is only one window where the trim failed (after many years) and it may have been due to a local installation error.
After 20+ years, some of the lower sash windows have lost their seals and are starting to fog up, but with enough lead time sash replacement is an option. Norwood can duplicate the 6/6 windows for a reasonable cost (approximately $600 each) and the new sashes can be easily installed. This is an excellent alternative to full window replacement.
I would definitely use Norwood products again and already have had a 6’ double exterior French doorset installed in my home in the US. The quality is excellent and any customer service that I have needed over the years has also been great.
